A customer is asking about this 350 engine that will not hold a head gasket in it.
The engine was built in another shop a couple years ago and has had head gasket issues ever since.
Flat top pistons, mild cam, nothing crazy. Last year installed a set of Fel-Pro 1003 head gaskets
with ARP bolts. car has gone less than 500k since then and now has blown the gaskets again.
Any recomendations? I ordered a set of MLS gaskets for it this time around.
We tackled an overheating issue last year. Flushed the block, new water pump for the serpentine belt and new aluminum rad with dual cooling fans. Has not overheated since, yet still will not hold a head gasket.
Is there a restriction in the exhaust system creating too much back pressure, and not letting the exhaust gases escape fast enough, also, does it have a nitrous bottle attached?????
